In Europe, the GAUTHIER family, expert in the wood industry, expands its activities. At the beginning, Louis GAUTHIER started a business in wood processing. In 1959, his son Alain also learned the trade and assisted Louis in innovating in the field of logging, in the manufacture of finished products, and in furniture and carpentry. In 1994 in Vietnam, and with the aim of complementarity, the Cattie company began its collaboration with local partners. During this same year, the idea of creating a commercial company, establishing a bridge between the Vietnamese factories and the expectations of customers established on other continents. And so, CATTIE was established in Andorra la Vella in March 1995. It was at this point that Caroline GAUTHIER, Alain’s daughter, joined the company as its export sales director. Cattie Group, a furniture manufacturer, has been present in Vietnam for over 30 years. Three generations succeeded one another in this fascinating profession.
